This page explains how timercalculator.com uses cookies and similar browser storage, and how you can control them.

Cookies in use today

None. The site does not set any cookies, first-party or third-party, and it does not run advertising. Visits are counted with Umami, which works without cookies and doesn't store anything in your browser (see the privacy policy for what it records).

Local storage

The timers, the stopwatch, and the alarm clock use your browser's local storage, which keeps data on your device without sending it anywhere. Every key starts with tc-, so they're easy to find in your browser's developer tools. Each tool saves:

• Online timer (tc-online-timer): the running or paused countdown, the hours, minutes and seconds you last entered, the optional label, and your sound, volume, repeat, keep-screen-awake and keyboard-shortcut settings.
• 1 minute timer (tc-preset-1): the current run, your rounds and rest choices, the halfway bell and tick settings, and your sound settings.
• 5 minute timer (tc-preset-5): the current run, the start and halfway bell settings, whether the sign view is on, the optional note you typed for the sign, and your sound settings.
• 10 minute timer (tc-preset-10, tc-preset-10-log): the current run, the optional "what's this block for" text, the 5 minute and 1 minute warning settings, your sound settings, and a list of the blocks you finished today (end time and that text, up to 50), which starts over the next day.
• Stopwatch (tc-stopwatch, tc-stopwatch-kbd): the current run, your laps and lap notes, and whether keyboard shortcuts are on.
• Alarm clock (tc-alarm-clock): your alarms (up to three, with their times, labels, on or off state and any snooze) and your sound, volume, keep-screen-awake, keyboard-shortcut, notification and 12 or 24 hour settings.
• Classroom timer (tc-classroom-timer): the running timer, the minutes, seconds and activity name you last entered, your activity list, and your disk color, time warning, sound and display settings.
• Interval timer (tc-interval-timer): the workout in progress while it is running or paused, your work, rest, rounds, sets, set break and warm-up settings, the preset you picked, and your sound and display settings.
• Focus timer (tc-pomodoro, tc-pomodoro-log): the current session and time left, your session lengths, auto-start, sound, volume and notification settings, the optional task text, and a log of today's finished focus sessions (end time, length and task), with earlier days dropped.
• Speech timer (tc-speech-calc, tc-speech-timer): the calculator mode, pace, words a minute, word count and time limit you entered, plus the timer run, your green, yellow and red signal times, count direction, and tone, colors-only, keep-screen-awake and keyboard-shortcut settings. The speech text you paste is never saved.

This lets a refresh or a later visit pick up where you left off. It's needed for the feature you're using, so it doesn't require consent. Resetting a timer clears its run, and deleting an alarm or clearing a log removes those entries. Settings stay saved until you clear site data for timercalculator.com in your browser settings, which removes everything. The calculators and the other tools don't store anything.

Fonts

The site's fonts load from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address and browser details when the font files are requested. Loading the fonts does not set cookies on this site.

When advertising is added

We plan to show ads through Google AdSense. Before that happens, a consent banner run by Consently, a consent management platform, will be added to every page. It will:

• block advertising and other non-essential cookies until you choose, where the law requires consent first
• let you accept, reject, or pick categories, and change your choice later
• store your choice in your browser so you aren't asked on every page

This page will then list each cookie category the banner manages, based on the banner's own scan of the site.
